Mondo is continuing their Cronenberg vinyl series tomorrow with Howard Shore’s score for Naked Lunch. Armed with artwork from Rich Kelly, this is the first time that Shore’s music is hitting the format, and it’s just in time for the 25th Anniversary.
Cronenberg did the impossible bringing the William S. Burroughs adaptation to life in the first place, and Shore’s atmosphere was responsible for enveloping us within this insanely vivid and surreal world.
Kelly’s art is a gorgeous way to seal the deal, with a cover and gatefold that hint at the film’s magic, while maintaining a sense of mystery and awe.
Naked Lunch drops at Mondo tomorrow, May 25th.
Dead Ringers, coming in June with art by Randy Ortiz.
