There are fan posters, and then there’s David Moscati’s poster for The Witch. Easily a modern masterpiece, the film relies on a deceptively minimal plot to dissect true terror and horror in a way that most modern genre films could only dream of. In essence, it uses simplicity to draw depth, and that’s exactly what Moscati’s done with his latest poster.
I love how Moscati’s poster mirrors the evil in the film; he’s created a malevolent force that is indisputable and striking, yet very abstract at the same time. It’s a clever visual solution that speaks volumes through restraint, which also happens to be the film’s greatest weapon.
Thanks to David for letting us share this stellar poster, visit him at MoscatiVision, or follow along on FB, Twitter and IG for more.
